Before working at SMK, Mel worked with in-house counsel, meticulously reviewing government tenders and contracts. It was her responsibility to balance the interests of the business, whilst ensuring the business remained competitive.

At SMK Melissa applies the same meticulousness in her advices to employers, as she understands that strategic and well thought out advices can prevent larger issues. She mainly advises on psychological injuries, considering the rising trend of psychological injuries and the claims of bullying and harassment.
